End Is In Sight

Yea, the end of this "moldy mess" is in sight!!!!

This is the week that we have to write our conclusions. All of my findings have been positive. I made the right choices in all this cheesy mess.

My project is nearly complete...I just have to prepare my presentation for the judges.....will post a video in the very soon.

It's a "Cheesy" Thing

Hi all,
Just popping in to let you know how this "Moldy Cheese Investigation" is going. It took some time...I was really getting worried...for the cheese to get any mold. In fact about 8 days. I was beginning to wonder if I had picked the right investigation. I guess it's like all things in science...patience, patience, patience.

But it did get mold and my "hypotheses" was correct....I had predicted that Munster would be the first to mold and it did. Now I have to keep checking on it and note the changes.

Here are some of the pics so far. I will get with my "executive director" aka. Nana to post a video when I start practicing for the "big" presentation. Which will be sometime after Thanksgiving.

More later, all things going good.

Happy Fall Ya'll....It's Finally Cooler in Texas

Fall has arrived and it's also SCIENCE FAIR time in my classroom. I had to select my project today (from 50 choices) and tell my teacher which one I wanted to do. I picked one about moldy cheese. I plan to call it "The Moldy Cheese Investigation"....I think that sounds really cool don't you?

I have to write my "hypothesis" (big word) by next week and answer some questions about the project...this is "real" science you know. It's a good thing I like to watch Sid, the Science Kid...maybe he'll have some answers for me...he knows something about everything.

In the end I have to present my "findings" (another big word) to my class. Mom says we will practice so we get it just right. Maybe Ileana and I can use Nana's video camera to record it and then she can put the it on my blog for you to see.

Actually, the rules say it's to be a "student" product...that means I have to do all the work.....my parents can only "supervise" the project. I think it means they have to buy all the stuff for me to work with. I told them I will need the cheese and also a lab coat, goggles and rubber gloves...can't be too careful with those mold spores you know. This is a BIG deal and it's even bigger cause it will be 50% of my grade... so I gotta work really hard on this one.

Okay my friends, wish me luck. I will post my findings as I go along. We might just get some really important stuff in this "investigation" that everyone really needs to know. Who knows, one day I might just go to MIT (like Uncle Steven) to continue my research. Wouldn't that be great! (Start saving your money Mom & Dad - MIT here I come).

Later,
Dylan (aka - The Mad Scientist)

Things Are Looking Up

Hey there, all my loyal followers, have you been missing me? I know it's been a while since I've been online but this 2nd grade stuff can be pretty intense. They expect you to work all day long and then they give you more stuff to do for homework....some days it's just too much! Monday thru Wednesday are the worst...Thursday and Friday (yes, I said Friday) are pretty easy.

BUT, I'm getting there! I have finally mastered the math facts tests....we have a test that has 100 problems and you have to finish in 5 minutes....JUST 5 minutes...have you ever tried that? I've made 99 on the last 2 tests..compared to 76 on another....it's all in getting the hang of it and knowing your facts...that's very important you know.

All the other work is great fun. In our room we have lots of rules. If we follow the rules we have no problems. I'm the perfect rule follower these days. Once you know the rules it makes your day and your life easier.

I'll post some pictures this weekend...I will get my Mommy to take a few.

Till then,
Dylan

Busy, Busy, Busy

WOW, I never knew being in 2nd grade would be so tough. I have been working non-stop since school began. There is no rest for this tired kid!

I tell you, I get up at 6:30 a.m. every morning and my day begins. I get ready for school and then make the trip into town. Once there, it's do this and do that ALL DAY long. By the end of the school day, (which is 3:10 for my grade) I am T.I.R.E.D. Thennnnnnnnnnnnn, I have to go to the afterschool program for another hour, and start my homework before my Mom comes to rescue me. After that we come home and I continue my schoolwork until dinner. If I'm lucky I finish by 7 p.m. By then it's time for bed only to dream of tomorrow.

Other than all this rushing around, school is going pretty well so far. I'm learning to work faster with less direction...... in 2nd grade they only tell you once and you better get it done. But I'm learning lots of new stuff and I love it.

Back soon with more information....keep coming back to checkout my year.

More later,
Dylan

School Is Back - 2nd Grade Here I Come

Well, it's school time again. Where did my summer go. I guess I knew it was coming but I wasn't ready...in my opinion I needed a few more days to play and then maybe I would be ready to go. Well, I guess they figured it was time cause yesterday was the first day for me.

Here are some pics having breakfast (brain food they say) and then getting ready to leave.

At first I wasn't too happy about going. I told everyone I wanted to say home and let my parents teach me....my Nana said "heaven help us". I don't know exactly what that means but I guess it means NO WAY cause I'm back at my school.

I must say I was a little scared as I entered my new room...then I looked around I could see many of my old friends were there and I was happy. My teacher is very nice and they tell me she's a great teacher. I'm sure I will learn many new things from her. That's what school is all about...learning more every year.

Enjoy,
Dylan

IT WAS AN INCREDIBLE AFTERNOON

Hi friends, I am now officially 7 years old.......I guess you could say I'm getting old!

Yesterday was my 7th birthday. Nana and Papa took Ileana and I to "Incredible Pizza" for the afternoon. We played games, rode rides, played putt putt, filled our tummy's with good food and emptied Papa's pockets...lol
Thanks, Papa...you're the greatest.

Can you believe we went there and FORGOT to take a camera...well, that really happened. Nana took a couple of pics with her cell phone but they aren't too good. I guess you have to forget that camera once in a while. I put 2 on here just so you can see that I really was having fun.

I got lots of phone calls from my family wishing me a Happy Birthday Day...that was fun.

Maybe Mommy and Daddy will take me out today to continue to celebrate since they had to work yesterday...I'll keep you posted.

Love,
Dylan

PS: Maybe Mommy will remember the camera this time.

Are We There Yet????????????

Hi All....I know I've been sort of absent from my blog for the last few days...but I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkkk. I sent these pictures to my secretary so that she could let you know where I've been and how much fun I'm having.

We're on our summer vacation and we chose to visit South Padre Island here in Texas. We left on Sunday and will be going home on Thursday. We have been having so much fun...I might just stay a little longer. (Do you think they would miss me?)

It was a long trip but once we got here it's been all fun. We've been to the beach, the swimming pool, the old lighthouse on the island, an aquarium, and the zoo. Man, we've done quite alot in just 2 days.

I was to tired yesterday that I actually took a nap....can you believe it...I TOOK A NAP and stopped talking for a few hours...Mommy said it was soooooooooooooo quiet. They even took a nap.

Here's a not so good picture of me with a pirate on the beach. He's not real...just a statue but neat anyway. The photographer forgets the sun is very bright.

I've made some new friends while I've been here. We meet at the pool each afternoon and just have fun playing in the water. This is the life!!!!

Well enough for today...will send more pictures tomorrow. You know we have to take them here, then send them to Nana so she can put them on the blog...this technology is so nice...how else could you keep up with me and my adventures.

Later and stay cool,
Dylan

Two Wet Ducks - aka Mommy & Me

Here's the video I promised you. Mommy was already wet and making her way back to the dock. I got stuck under the falling water and just went round and round...I was soaked.
BUT, I had lots of fun! Nothing like being wet on a HOT afternoon.

Have a great day!

What A Party

Went to the greatest BD party ever yesterday. It was at Malibu Castle and we had soooooo much fun.

My (sort of cousin) Vanessa was celebrating her 11th BD....Happy Birthday, Vanessa!!!!

Here are pics of me playing putt putt golf...I loved it. I guess I'll have to go visit Uncle Fred in the Glade for lessons...he lives right off the golf course. Is that cool or what....golf anytime.

My video for today is me (of course) on the bumper boat...it took a little practice to get going in the right direction....I'll post one later of Mommy and I...if you think I look bad wait till you see it.

Are Ya Staying Cool?

Boy has this been a long hot summer. I have been going to camp day after long day and I am beat. (Here's my Monday pic...we go swimming on Monday.)

When they pick me up in the afternoon all I want to do is take a nap.....a longggg one. This will be my final two weeks. Then I will be staying home for "Nana Camp" (as my Uncle Mario calls it). I hope Ileana can come out to visit so we can really have some fun. Some days I will probably go to my Grandma's too so I can spend time with her before school starts.

I really want Ileana to come because I have finally learned to be in the pool without my swim vest. My Mommy was afraid I would drown so I had to wear one. Now I can go underwater and hunt for things without any support. I can float but not swim just yet. I'm trying to learn though. It's so much fun and so cool.

As for Oliver and I, we're becoming good friends. He's really cute and very smart. I have been training him to take commands...you know...do as I say, not as I do...kind of commands. Maybe I should take lessons from him...you think?

Can you believe it's almost time for my birthday and for school to begin. I will be seven on Aug. 14th and school will begin on Aug. 24. I better get crackin' on all the summer homework I was given...I've done some of it, but not all of it. It's been pretty easy so far...nothing really hard...I hope that's how 2nd grade will be...new and interesting, but not hard. I can handle that. I hear I will have a great teacher...I hope she likes me as much as the other two have :-) If you asked them they would never admit it but they did like me. (I sure hope they did anyway...cause I loved them.) Every day I use many of the things they taught me. They were great teachers.

Well enough for today. I will post a picture of Oliver and me, as soon as, I can get one taken. Stay cool and see ya soon.

Karaoke On The 4th

Checkout the family singers doing their thing! We had lots of fun with this before going swimming....I'm the special effects guy in the video and Ileana was doing the actual singing. I think you can hear Uncle Mario in there too (he likes to sing you know).

New Oliver Picture

Here's Olly (that's short for Oliver you know) in his new outfit...doesn't he look spiffy?

Good thing I've been to the Build-A-Bear store many times and made many bears. Now my bears have to share their outfits with him cause they fit so good.

Just look at how cute he looks. They fit him to a tee...get it....tee...as in t-shirt!!!!! That's a great joke don't you think?

Well enough for now....stay cool today.

Happy (Belated) 4th of July Greetings

Hi all, did you have fun on the 4th of July? I sure did..we had a cookout and Ileana and I went swimming all afternoon.

This is our family picture with Oliver....do you like our Red, White and Blue outfits? We took 2 pictures but either I was looking away or Oliver was...so we had to settle on this one.

This was Olly's first family visit out of the house....he is really an inside dog...he was not very comfortable out on the deck in 103* Texas weather. He tried to stay cool by spilling his drinking water all over himself...he looked like a wet rag. We'll have to work on that.

Saturday we took Olly to the Vet......I told Mommy not to say the "V" word very loud...he might be scared if we told him where we were going. He did really good there. He weighed 5 pounds and the Vet said he was very healthy. I stood there and asked many questions...you know me...I have to know all these things. Before we left the lady came in with a vaccination for him...that's a big word to shot. I sure hope it didn't hurt cause it was a big one.

We have a new picture of him to post. My Nana deleted it from her phone so we have to get Mommy to resend it.

Till tomorrow....stay cool cause I know I will...it's swim day at summer camp. My time there is really going by quickly. I've been working on the summer homework my teacher gave me. Mommy says I have to get back in the groove...cause school will start before we know it.

Meet OLIVER!

Isn't he the cutiest thing?

We picked him up today. I'll let you know tomorrow how it goes tonight...so far he's asleep...let's see how long that will last.

I hope he doesn't miss his sister too much.

The Swimming Dancer

Nana has this new Sony Webbie HD camera. I can show off my moves in and out of the pool.
This is the coolest toy...Ileana and I can take video when we want. But we still need Nana to make the movies happen on our blogs.

Stay cool....I know I will,

The Big Splash

Hey all! I had a great time yesterday at my Uncle Mario's house. My cousins Samantha and Ileana and I played in the pool all afternoon. You can see by my video what fun we were having. Special thanks to Mark for giving me a hand to get on the BIG BALL and for catching me when I fell. All I need to learn now is to keep my mouth closed when I fall off...that water was not very tasty...but it sure was fun.

The Green Frisbee

Helloooo....just poppin' in to share this video....do you see the green Frisbee floating in the water? It's actually the one that pulled my tooth out....remember I told you about that?
(Tooth Update...Ileana found my tooth the next day. She asked for a reward....don't know if she got one....if she did it wasn't from me...saving my money for Lego's)

When Ileana comes over, we have lots of fun playing in the pool. I know you're thinking...that's not a very big pool...but, we have fun just floating around and staying cool. We fight a little and laugh a lot and the best part is we're still the best of friends in the end.

Ileana needs to come back so we can have more fun. She was here for a whole week and then had to go home....I hope she comes back real soon. I miss her...she's my BEST cousin.

Life Is GOOD!

I've been having so much fun I've forgotten to add to my blog.

Last week was to die for. Let me tell you in just one week I went swimming, visited an old western town, went bowling, went to the park, played putt putt and learned to skate. Can you imagine...all this in just ONE week. Camp is really great...thanks Mom and Dad.

Somewhere in all this fun I lost another tooth. (That makes 2 now.) I was in the pool with my cousin Ileana and she threw a soft water Frisbee at me. It hit me right in the mouth (I think she was trying to get me quiet) and out it came. I thought she had done it on purpose but they convinced me otherwise. Still not sure about that one.

Then a tragedy occurred...I couldn't find my tooth anywhere. We looked all around inside the pool and it was not to be found. Nana said I'd have to write a note to the TF telling her what happened and why I didn't have any proof to show her. The note would have to be written really nice and neat and really convincing. She said the TF doesn't usually take excuses...either you have the proof or you don't. The TF would decide if she would leave any cash. I did my best and left her a note. (I guess she believed me cause she left me some LEGO money...eurika! Thanks TF)

Then came the weekend...I tell you I had a full week...my friend from school called and wanted me to go over to play...instead my parents took us both to the Children's Museum...there we met up with another of our classmates...we had a blast. I was so tired I had to rest on Sunday...to get ready for another full week of fun.

I'll write more during the week...let's see what we do this week.

Till later,
Dylan

SUMMER IS HERE

Been so busy I almost forgot to let you know that I'm officially a 2nd Grader now.....yeepee!!! (Actually, it won't be until Aug...but everyone keeps telling me that I am so I guess I am.)

Boy, I went from school to summer camp in just a few days and forgot to
login and give you the good news. We finished school with a fun field day...we played all day then had pizza for snack.

Then on Saturday I went to see Sid, The Science Kid. He's a pretty cool dude. Here's my picture with him incase you don't know who he is. If you get a chance watch him on PBS...he comes out early every morning. He has some great science tips to share. My Mom and I already know all the songs they sing like " I love my Mom....my Mom is cool...but now it's time...for fun at school".

On Monday I started my summer camp experience. I do have to get up very early and go to work with Mom but it's worth it. The camp is right next door to her office. On the first day we went swimming and on the second day we went to the park...can't beat that. Tomorrow is karaoke and miniature golf...this is the life. I could stay here for a while.

Okay, it's time for bed....gotta be in top form for my singing debut tomorrow...hope they have "Margaritaville" or "Have I Told You Lately...That I Love You" on their list. I know the words to those pretty good.

Dylan

PS...had my stitches taken out today...all went well..thanks for thinking about me!

Health Update

Greetings my friends,
Just want to let you know how I'm doing.
I went to school and felt pretty good. I guess Dr. Moore did a good job after all.
I was a little scared to go and show off my stitches but all my friends were very nice to me.
Everyone was happy to see me and it made me feel very good. Even my coach had a card to me...that was very nice of him...thanks Coach.

Thanks again!

Can You Guess What Happened Today?

If you think I look like I've lost my last friend...you're right...I almost did. No, not really. This is me at the MedClinic this afternoon.

Here are some pictures so you can see how I looked. My Mommy and Nana always have a camera handy to record such events and there have been some really memorable ones I must say.

The first picture was right after they finished stitching me up. The second one is me sitting very still...I was in LOTS of pain at this point. Dr. Moore was not the gentlest person in the world. He told me he was 72 years old and I believe it. Needless to say I now have 5 stitches on my forehead and a big bump to match.

Let me tell you exactly what happened......I was at PE and decided I needed to go to the restroom. On my way there someone happened to put their leg out and I tripped...sending me into the the corner of the restroom wall. Actually, the walls at my school are really, really, really hard. There was blood all over the place...they told my Mommy I bleed like a stuffed piggy. My white shirt is still white...BUT my white shoes and my white socks have red speckles all over and they're ruined for life.

I will probably have a terrible headache and some black eyes tomorrow. I already told Nana I'm staying here for a few days. I'll keep you posted on my progress. Keep thinking of me!

Hi All....have you missed me?

GUESS WHAT......I finally lost my 1st tooth....can you believe it. Here's a picture to prove it.

Most of my friends have lost some and gotten new ones during the year and I was still waiting for mine to fall out. I'm sure glad I finally lost at least one tooth before the end of the year...that's how it's suppose to happen you know.

They've been loose for sometime but just didn't want to come out. My Daddy told me he could put a string on my tooth, tie the other end to the train and turn it on...that would pull it. Nana said tie a string on it...tie the other end to the doorknob and shut the door...that would do it. But I said "no, thanks". Last night I was playing in my room and all of a sudden out it came..no problem. I went to show my parents and they said...."thank goodness" it's out.

Of course the tooth fairy came to visit...she left me $5...not bad for the first one...maybe the price increases as the others fall out...I'll keep you posted.

The first thing this morning I went to see my friend the school nurse. I showed her what happened and asked her to put my name on her board (she has a list of everyone who has lost a tooth this year). She asked me when it happened...and I said Sunday. She wanted to put my name on the May list...I asked her to put it on the June list because there were just too many names on the May list...we compromised by putting it between the two months.

The rest of my week will be really busy...school is nearly over. Today we had our awards ceremony and we brought home all the stuff from our desks. The best part of all is that there won't be ANYMORE HOMEWORK....yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess we will just have some fun for the next 4 days. It's about time...a kid can't study all the time...gotta have a little fun.

I'll be back tomorrow with more information about the last week of school...stay tuned.

Happy Mother's Day Mommy!

Happy Mother's Day to my Mommy.....I Love YOU
This is my Mommy's special day...she is the best Mom in the world.

I had to interview her for my classwork. Here is the finished product.

This a biography of my mother: Angela...
Who was born on: Aug. 1, 19...
She was born in the
Baspit Hospital, San Antonio

Brief biography:
My mommy is kind. She's a good parent. She is kind and nice. I love her very much. She loves me. She's the best she's great. She's awesome. She's really, really, really awesome. She's great and awesome. I love her and she loves me.

What is the most interesting fact about her?
The most interesting part about her is when she teaches me.

How would you describe her?
She has black hair, black eyes and she works at State Farm Company.

If you could ask her one question, what would you ask her?
Can you run faster than a cheetha?

Words that describe my Mommy using a dictionary:
M - arvelation
O - rganized
M - agnifisent

My mommy loved this biography of herself...even with the misspelled words.
I had it hidden in my yellow folder in a brown envelope.

I signed it,
Sincerely, Dylan (This is how you sign letters you know.)

Can You Believe It?

Have you missed me? I've been very busy learning.

Do you realize that exactly one month from today I'll "officially" be a 2nd grader!!!!!! This year is almost over and it sure has gone by quickly.

It took some time but I've finally gotten the message that if I'm good and finish all my classwork for the week quickly....I can do fun things in class. Last week I finished all my work for the week by Wednesday.....so I had 2 days to do fun things. You know the saying by now "do what you have to do...so you can do what you want to do". It does work, you should try it sometime.

I've been doing just that...I've been on "green" for the past 2 weeks....get it...2 weeks. Actually today I was on "blue" all day...that's like the icing on the cake. Wish me luck for tomorrow....green is good but blue is better.

Well Mom says it's bedtime. Be back later in the week to let you in on all the fun things I'll be doing this summer. I'll give you a few hints.....swimming, bowling, horseback riding...can you guess!!!
See ya soon!

BAD NEWS / GREAT NEWS

It's over for another year and I slept late this morning cause I was one tired puppy. All that confetti my uncle took for us was AWESOME!

BAD NEWS
I did take my sign with me and I did talk to the reporter. BUT although he thought it was very funny..he didn't offer to put it on TV. He wanted to know "if I was getting extra credit out of this". You gotta admit I tried!

Then I went one step further and invited my teacher to the parade with us...and she came!!!! We had a great time. She's a great confetti thrower. She hit me LOTS of times and she really socked it to Dad...he had more confetti on him than all of us put together! GREAT FUN!Add Image
GREAT NEWS
My cousin and I got our picture in the Sunday paper....it was nearly a half page in size. That photographer lady did a good job considering all the stuff flying around. Thanks, Ms. Whitney you took a great picture. (You know, if you click on these pictures on my page...they will get bigger for a better look.)

It's not the first time we make the paper...I guess you could say we've had our share of fiesta pictures in print.

Enough for today....until next time and another fiesta....VIVA FIESTA

Preview

I have my sign ready for the big night. My secretary made it and daddy took it to be printed. We didn't make letters or use those smelly markers...we're really hi-tech around here. BUT, we had to make it black and white cause having it printed in color would be wayyyyyyyy too expensive. My parents don't like me that much...(smile)

Thought I would post it so you would know exactly what to look for.....be on the lookout for it during the parade...hopefully I can convince those lady reporters to show it on TV. All I will have to do is give them a big smile and maybe a wink....that should do it.

Till next time when I'll have an update on my project...Viva Fiesta!

It's EARTH DAY

Hi All.....today is Earth Day... but of course everyday should be Earth Day. We all need to work really hard to make our planet a clearer place. We've been studying all about this stuff in my class. We all need to do our part.

There are celebrations all over the place. I took some pretty recycling bags to my teacher and others at my school today. My Mom fixed them all up really cute for me to deliver. Then she went to the store by her house and took this picture of a giant shopping cart. She wanted me to put it on my blog so....here it is. It is the biggest one I've ever seen.

After all I've learned this week I will pay closer attention to what I drop on the ground....and try to clean up after myself at all times. I've been working on Mommy too....she needs put her trash in the can and not drop empty cups on the ground. I tell her I'm going to call the Recycling Cops on her...lol

IT'S THAT TIME!

My picture should give you a big hint!

It's Fiesta ..... I can hardly wait! Did you know they close down the city and I get a school holiday just to celebrate. This only happens in TEXAS!

There are several parades planned this week. I love to watch all the floats pass and dance to the beat of the drumlines. You may have seen me and my extended family every year on TV....we cover the street with confetti... and make one big mess. I like to yell "Show me your shoes" as the floats go by...you never know what those ladies will be wearing under those big dresses. Sometimes they wear bunny slippers, or flip flops, or maybe even boots... you name it... they wear it. This is Fiesta SA you know!

This year I have a special task to accomplish..... I've been commissioned to create a poster telling EVERYONE at the parade and hopefully on TV that my favorite teacher (Mrs. Ortiz) is the best at my school and that (Coach Ortiz) "ROCKS!" So be sure you watch the parade on Saturday night. It's on Channel 35... just to see if I make the big time. Do you think I can do it?????

Do We Look Like Tourists?

I guess you could say we had a great day at the Zoo. Here are the pictures I promised. Lots of people but it wasn't crowded like
other times.

Ileana and I were playing like ambassadors @ large...we know our way around the place. We've visited so many times we could be tour guides.

Do you like our group shots? We were just having some fun!

How ya like my smile? Can you see all that chocolate on my teeth...my dentist would chringe.

We were having a treat....can you believe I was eating ice cream...I never eat that stuff. Even Nana was surprised. She told me she would buy but I BETTER eat it and I did...lol Taste pretty good...I may want more later on.

All for today just keep checking back...you never know what you'll find here!

Coloring and Hunting Easter Eggs

Hi all!
Just checking in to show you my egg coloring techniques. Ileana and I had a great time sharing the eggs and the dye colors. We each had 5 eggs to color...there were 3 cups on one side of the table and 2 on the other...we played well together last night. My Nana kept telling us to be careful because the water was hot and the vinegar smelled terrible...we were careful and had a great time.

This is me hunting eggs over at my Nana's house. You know, I'm a lucky kid cause I get to go egg hunting twice on the same day. I started here with my cousin Ileana then went to Grandma's for a hunt with some other cousins. I love to party. There was plenty of food at both places. I'm not much of an eater...you know. It's only nuggets and pizza for me. I just ran around all afternoon having fun while the big people eat.

Here's a final picture for today. Checkout all the confetti in our hair...it looks hilarious. You know those cascarons are fun but they also hurt if you get hit too hard.

Well, enough of this Easter stuff...have to get ready for bed...cause boy am I tired. Good thing we still have a day off tomorrow so we can rest. Ileana and I are going to the zoo with Uncle Mario, Aunt Margo and Nana. I'll post some pics after we return.

I hope you had as much fun today as I did.
Happy Easter!

Any Bluebonnets Out There?

Dylly Bluebonnetes 2005We were wishing for bluebonnets out here this year...but no luck! So my secretary and I decided to go one better . We went into our picture archive (do you like that big word I used), picked a picture that showed how they usually look and here it is. Hope you like it. Man, I was really young in this picture.

Maybe next year it will rain early so we can have our pretty wildflowers.

Hippity, Hoppity...Easter's On It's Way

Here comes Peter Cottontail....oh you know how the rest goes. Just putting some Easter cheer on my page. Hope you like my dancing chicks over on the right.

Had another great day ....I took my teacher treats to school this
morning and will take my classmates theirs tomorrow. It's just too much to carry in one morning. The teacher treats were a really cute bunny box with an egg filled with candy. But, four of them were extra special. These had BIG faux diamond rings in them. Had to choose these.....my allowance couldn't cover the real thing. Here's a pic of my Mommy modeling one..do ya like it?

Let me tell ya...the teachers who received them were really excited when they saw the jewels...
but they got unexcited when each learned they were not the only one who received one from me. Boy did I have some explaining to do...I had to tell them I liked each of them equally and that the rings "didn't really mean anything". Man, do I have a lot to learn. When I give Mommy stuff she just loves it without questions. I guess I better get my Dad to explain how all this works.

Time for bed now. We're having an egg hunt tomorrow afternoon at my school. I'll let you know how that goes. Should be fun!
