I'm BACK,,,
Hello Everyone,
Really sorry, I know I've been away for a long, long, long time... BUT I'm back!
A lot has happened since then. For starters, I have a new cousin, his name is Diego and he lives in Houston. I don't get to see him much... but my mom shows me pictures of him all the time. The best part of having a new cousin is that now all my cousins (2) and I share the same birth date on the calendar (14). I guess it will have to be our lucky number from now on! Just call us card carrying members of "Club 14".
I had a great Christmas break with lots of new toys and great time with my family. But all good things must come to an end...or so they say and school started up again. It's been nothing but work, work, work.
If you remember, way back when, I mentioned that in 3rd grade I would have to take the TAKS test. Well that time is almost here and we are working very hard to make sure we know all the strategies needed for the big day.
The other night there was a Family Reading Night at my school. It was great, every grade level had a reading station set up and everyone got a chance to read a book and then they would be able do a fun activity. The Book Fair was open too and so I got a few new books. We can never have enough good books and never stop READING and learning.

Here's a picture from one of the stations.
See you again real soon...I promise this time.
Love ya,
Dylan

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

YAHOO...It's Party Time Again!
I tell ya, we're becoming some real party animals!
I imagine that's what happens when you have lots of cousins who all have birthdays right in a row.
This time we went to Fiesta Farms. It's was loads of fun. They had all kinds of animals you could pet and ride. We even went on a hayride...how fun is that. Have you ever been on a hayride...I recommend it highly.
These are just pictures of me riding that ole horse. Of course I was holding on for dear life. It only took me 3 tries to finally get on for the ride. I would get in line....BUT...when it came my turn I would sort of "chicken" out...if you know what I mean. Finally on the 3rd try I went for it and loved it.
Had a great time....Happy Birthday, Pamela. Thanks for a fun party!
See ya soon!

What A Party!

WOW, what a weekend we had. Uncle David n Aunt Delia's wedding was really nice! There were lots of people in the church to see us. I had never even been in a wedding...that was really interesting. Just sitting there and being quiet was something else. Here's a picture of the Fernandez men getting ready for the big day!!!! Don't we look handsome? Here's
a of me entering with my partner. The one of the whole party is above. We had to enter arm in arm....the younger group had no problem with that...BUT...the older kids were making all kinds of faces. My Mom set them straight. Let me tell you, they all did their part and looked really great.
Of course, my biggest fan (aka Mom) had taken a dozen or so picture before we even left the house. I tell ya, there isn't another kid around who has as many picture of themselves as I do. But then again, it was a special day so I guess it's okay. Thanks, Mom.This was our family picture....are we the greatest or what??? I love ya, Mom and Dad!
Then I couldn't close without putting a pic of my cousin Ileana and I.

Then came time for the reception(that's another word for PARTY). It was to die for...I think I danced all night long. The DJ played all the really cool music I like...Cupid Shuffle, Thriller...you kn
ow the rest. Everyone was complaining about their sore feet...NOT ME...I took my Crocs (they might've been green...not quite a match, but sure felt good) and changed half way through the party. Let me tell you a tux and Crocs really go well together. Checkout the pic to the left...that's me out there dancing up a storm. I rocked!!This was a wonderful weekend. Can you believe I even slept in on Sunday. I was sooooooooooo tired. But, all good things must come to an end and today I had to return to school.
See ya again real soon....have homework to finish...hope you liked the pictures I had to share.
Dylan
PS: I've been doing really good in school...no red check marks last week. I might just get off restriction one day real soon. This no TV, no Legos things is no fun.

To Think All It Took Was A Ball!
Hi, it's me again!
Don't know if I ever mentioned I was losing one of my front teeth. This all started during summer camp when I bumped into another kid's head. I was just minding my own business...BUT not watching where I was going. It looked so funny Uncle Steven called me Dylly McPhee. My Mom took me to the dentist and they said it would come out in due time. She said you can't rush a good thing...the longer your baby teeth stay in, the better the new teeth will be. So all this time I've been looking funny if you know what I mean.
Today we were at Wally Mart...I was just being myself (again) bouncing a "cookie monster" ball and yep, you got it...it hit me in the mouth and out popped my tooth. Now I know how Ileana felt so many years ago. You don't know how many times my parents tried to get that tooth to come out. They pulled on it, threatened to tie it to the door knob and other fun things. Everyone gave us their own remedy for getting it to come loose. But none of them worked and some we really didn't want to try.+copy.jpg)
To think all we needed was a rubber ball. Here is a picture of me...toothless! The only good thing is the new tooth is already knocking on the door. That will limit my toothless time. I'm in my Uncle David's wedding next weekend and all I needed was to be toothless while wearing my first tux. I really wanted to look cool...oh well, that's life. (I'll post pics of the event next weekend.) I tell my Mom I won't give my usual broad smile for the group pictures. I want to look somewhat normal.
Enough for today....have a great week. I'm already dreading tomorrow. I plan to stay quiet all day so they won't even know I lost my tooth. For sure the new teacher will be very happy.

Three Weeks Down and Counting!
Hey everyone...I bet you've missed me haven't you? Admit it....I know you have!
School is going great. Third grade is pretty cool after all. I've been doing good. We received our progress report on Friday and I had nothing lower than an 87...pretty good for 3 weeks I think. We have plenty of homework everyday, but I'm surviving.
The sad part is that we lost our teacher. You know, the one I also had last year. She had a great opportunity to move up the ladder and she took it. We'll miss her... but we'll still see her in our school all the time...we wish her well! Way to go Mrs. Polanco-Rosas...you rock!
Will keep you posted as time goes by. See ya soon!
